  • Q: WHAT IS THE LIFE EXPECTANCY OF MY HVAC SYSTEM?
    Answer: The average life expectancy of your HVAC system depends on many factors. How often you run your system, the system’s age, its make and model, and whether or not it was serviced regularly over the course of its life can all play a significant role in how long your system will last you. You can expect your furnace and/or air conditioner to last approximately 15 years. A heat pump can last 16+ years.

  • Q: WHAT IS A HEAT PUMP?
    Answer: A heat pump is an all-in-one heating and cooling system. Instead of two separate systems, like a furnace and an air conditioner, a heat pump can cool your home during the summer and heat your home during the winter.
  • Q: DO I NEED HVAC MAINTENANCE?
    Answer: Yes! No matter what type of HVAC system you may have – heat pump, furnace, air conditioner, etc. – you should always schedule HVAC maintenance twice a year. Spring – Cooling system tune-up Fall – Heating system tune-up
  • Q: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY AIR FILTERS?
    Answer: We recommend changing your air filters every one to three months, depending on how often you use your HVAC system. If you have pets or run your systems frequently, you may want to consider changing your air filters every 30 – 45 days.
  • Q: IS A BIGGER HVAC SYSTEM BETTER?
    Answer: No. Your heating and cooling systems should be properly sized by an HVAC professional. If the system is too big for your home’s needs, it could result in a loss of efficiency and higher utility bills!
